Have you heard of SíSí? A brand new rooftop bar which is located within The Social Hub Glasgow.
We recently visited as we’d been seeing various Tik Tok videos promoting the fairly new bar and it looked very modern and chilled. The perfect pit stop if you’re out and about in Glasgow and want to stop by for some food and drinks.
Cosy Vibes
The full place is warm and lovely inside. They have booths, tables and the option for guests to sit at the bar too. When visiting, we were taken to our seat promptly and it was a lovely welcome. A member of staff came over shortly after to take our drinks order, and then came back for food once we were ready to order. There was a modern feel to the design of the place, and a nice orange colour on the seats throughout. The pillows we were sat were also lovely. The windows were huge so having the backdrop of Glasgow’s buildings was stunning, even on a rainy day. The bar is huge and is placed right in the centre so you could see the bar tenders making up drinks. Overall, the place was lovely and well put together.
Tennent’s Lager on Tap
We love a place where you can get a good pint on offer. Our first order was a Tennent’s lager and a Fierce Cerveza which both went down a treat. I stuck with Tennent’s and I love when you visit a nice bar and restaurant that has this available on draught. They had two other draught options available which were Bewcooder IPA and Outcider.
Alongside the draught beers there were plenty of drinks options. SíSí offers a large selection of cocktails, wines, bottled beer and spirits. They also have non-alcoholic options, soft drinks and hot drinks available.
Small Plates, Perfect for sharing
There’s plenty of food options available on the menu which are perfect for sharing. We’ll talk about what we got but the the full menu is available on the website if you want to have a browse prior to visiting.
Here’s what we got along with our thoughts:
- Green Peppers with Chilli – Ok, so we can’t remember the exact name of the first dish shown below but it was basically cooked peppers with some kind of chilli sprinkled on them. They were nice but probably not our favourite of the dishes, but that’s probably because we’re not the biggest pepper fans. Having said that, the presentation was lovely.
- Papa Dorada – Dish 2 was Golden Potato with Pasilla Pepper Mayo and it was stunning. The Potato was soft and the sauce complimented it nicely. Plus how good does it look!
- Frijol Negro – This was an absolute winner and we thoroughly recommend it. It was Crispy Totopos with a warm black bean dip, and the dip was out of this world! It was so nice and flavourful!
Would we go back? Yes! It was lovely and on the day we visited it was raining, so it was the perfect escape from the wet weather. We booked ahead of visiting a few weeks prior so we’re not sure how the availability is if you just walk in. It was quite busy when we were there but there was still a few tables space, not sure if the weather was affecting peoples plans. We sat inside but there is an outdoor terrace as well, which is probably lovely on a dry day. SíSí is on the 8th floor and there’s some lovely buildings around so the views are really nice.
