IRL Loved It

We'd go back in a heartbeat.

A genuinely great experience from start to finish. This one earns our firm recommendation.

How we
rate

Buck’s Bar has been a City Centre staple since 2016 — a rock’n’roll bar built around fried chicken done properly. We recently headed to the West Regent Street original for lunch, and it absolutely held up.

The Visit

The menu is built around buttermilk fried chicken in all its forms – burgers, Nashville Hot Style Chicken, Chicken and Waffles, Wings, Sides, and more. We went straight for the burgers. I had the Salt & Chilli and my partner went for The King. Both were brilliant – bold flavour, proper comfort food, and fries that held their end of the bargain too. Washed down with a pint of Madri, it was a genuinely great lunch.

We stuck around for cocktails after, having heard good things – and they didn’t disappoint. There’s a solid drinks menu and the cocktails are the real deal. Worth flagging: they’re 40% off Monday to Wednesday, which is a very good reason to plan a midweek visit.

It’s not our first time at Buck’s – we’ve been to both West Regent Street and the Trongate location – and it’s been brilliant every time. This place has a consistent thing going on.

The Verdict

Buck’s Bar West Regent Street is a reliable, flavour-packed stop in the City Centre that earns its reputation. The buttermilk chicken burgers are the main event and they deliver every single time – order the Salt & Chilli and thank us later. Great value, great vibe, and those cocktails are well worth staying on for.
